10-4 SATURDAY 28th Feb 2026. Round tower, Black Swan Arts, Frome, Somerset
For those of you that are new to handbuilt ceramics or thinking of practicing from home, this is ideal: A comprehensive step by step introduction to preparing clay, what clays are best, and how to go about it! We’ll practice rolling coils and making a small pot. By the end of the day you’ll be ready to practice confidently and will be clear about what you’ll need (and don’t) to work from home. Materials and tools provided. All you need to bring is an apron and small box to take your pieces home.
The round tower is a beautiful small historic stone building in an arts centre environment. Please layer up if attending in winter! Refreshments are available from the cafe or you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.
Parking is available at the Cheese and Grain across the road. There are rail connections to Frome.
